In this session, educators will enhance their knowledge and capacity to teach about the Holocaust, including the history of antisemitism, the establishment of the ghettos, the “Final Solution,” and how this historical event continues to influence the world today. Specific lessons that align with the Virginia Standards of Learning for Social Studies will be shared; however, ELA and World Language educators will also encounter many useful resources and classroom ideas.
